2009 Jefferson Nickel Mintage
The 2009 Jefferson Nickel was produced for circulation at the Philadelphia and Denver Mints. A combination of factors have resulted in these issues having the lowest mintage for a circulation strike Jefferson Nickel since 1959.The Jefferson Nickel will also be produced at the San Francisco Mint in proof version. These coins will be included in annual proof sets sold by the United States Mint. This coin has not been a focus of collectors since the mintage will likely be at the typical level for a proof coin.
